Whisper Rock Estates is a guard gated private golf community near the northern border of Scottsdale Arizona (zip code 85266) and the town of Carefree. The community is comprised of 197 custom home sites ranging from one to four acres, and 17 villas spread over 460 acres of rolling desert terrain. Many of the homes enjoy views of the Whisper Rock golf course and the mountains to the north from a low density, quiet neighborhood with easy access to nearby world class restaurants.

The community offers a 2,500 square foot fitness facility, 3 acre private park with tennis courts, basketball court, a BBQ ramada, a lap-sized heated pool with spa, and five miles of hiking and biking trails. Whisper Rock has a full time Lifestyle Director who organizes social and recreational programs including happy hours, community dinners, parties, and fitness activities such as yoga and pickleball. A full time concierge service is also available for all home management activities.

Whisper Rock Golf Club is a 36-hole private facility consisting of two 18 hole championship courses, with membership by sponsorship and invitation only that is limited to 580 individuals. Membership is not tied to property ownership in Whisper Rock Estates. The Lower Course opened in February 2001 and was designed by PGA Tour player Phil Mickelson and architect Gary Stephenson. The Upper Course opened in January 2005 and was designed by renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio. It sits on the north side of the property and is highlighted by the numerous rock outcroppings and dramatic mountain vistas. Whisper Rock Golf Club is a golf-only club, so the clubhouse provides only golf necessities only and there are no restaurants or other facilities on the property, and social memberships are not available.

Nearby shopping and dining can be found at the Desert Village, La Mirada, and the Summit at Scottsdale shopping centers. The charming towns of Carefree and Cave Creek, known for their enchanting shops, excellent restaurants and eclectic art galleries, are minutes away to the west, while Bartlett Lake and the Tonto National Forest are minutes away to the east.
